6:11 And Jesus took the loaves, and when He had given thanks He
distributed them to the disciples, and the disciples to those sitting down;
and likewise of the fish, as much as they wanted.
6:25 And when they found Him on the other side of the sea, they said to Him,
“Rabbi, when did You come here?"
6:26 Jesus answered them and said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, you seek Me,
not because you saw the signs, but because you ate of the loaves and were
filled."
Observations
They came to ask Him how he managed to get to the other side without a boat
Jesus knew that their real need is spiritual
Things God Does
and other interpretations
Jesus answers the questions you didn’t know you had
The ones about your real needs
Application
I should go to God with my mundane questions — they’ll get me talking to Him
I can trust Him to know what I really need
When I go to God with questions, I should be ready for unrelated answers
In practical terms, this means that in devotions, Bible studies, and
church I should be ready to learn things that seem totally unrelated to
my urgent situation — knowing that God knows my deep needs more than I do
