God pities me

You have had pity on the plant for which you have not labored, nor made it grow, which came up in a night and perished in a night. And should I not pity Nineveh, that great city, in which are more than one hundred and twenty persons who cannot discern between their right hand and their left — and much livestock?

God labors for people and livestock
God makes people and livestock grow
God pities (and cherishes) people and livestock — He wants the best for us, His creation

Pity and cherish all living things, God’s creation
At the time you feel alone, think about how God pities you with affection
At the time you feel worthless, think about how God works to give you a chance because He labored to create you and make you grow
